How do I prepare and send image files?
We accept Photoshop native files (PSD), TIFF, and JPEGs. When saving TIFFs please select 'LZW' file compression. When sending JPEGs, please use the high quality (i.e. '12', maximum quality setting) option to avoid compression problems.
Digital file resolution for digital giclee inkjet printing is dependent on the final size of the print. We ask that you supply files at 240 dpi. For example a 20" x 30" file should be resized to 20" x 30" at 240 dpi.
We realize that many digital cameras do not have the initial resolution to print large sizes at 240 dpi. We have interpolation scripts that can in most cases enlarge to the necessary dimensions.
To maximise the colour and vibrancy of your colour canvas prints, we recommend working in the Adobe RGB (1998) colour space. This colour space ensures more vibrant prints for images containing bright colours. Do not convert your RGB files to CMYK!
Black and white images can be sent in greyscale format. This will save you some file size and we can 'warm' or 'cool' the print to suit your needs or to match any proofs that you might want to provide. |
